Development Centers These state licensed facilities for infants, toddlers and
preschool children provide an environment that encourages positive socialization and stimulates creative learning.
Skilled staff supervise the scheduled activities and develop individual educational plans.
Head Start is a comprehensive program serving families with children from birth to five years old. Families are eligible for Head Start when the family income falls within the guidelines established by the federal government.
10% of the enrollment must consist of children with disabilities. We use
the Ultimate Preschool
Curriculum™
for educational support.
Gateway
Youth Programs specializes in working with youth who are
in conflict with their family, involved with juvenile court, in need of
support or in need of help to succeed in school. Services provided to
youth and their families are crisis intervention, case management,
advocacy with the schools and court, non-therapeutic counseling, and
referrals as needed or requested.
Retired and
Senior Volunteer Program
is a program that recruits seniors aged
55+ who want to volunteer and places them in non-profit organizations,
after-school
tutoring schools and adult literacy programs,
approved health care facilities, and
special community projects. The volunteers are placed in areas that are
of interest to them and that reflects or enhances their special skills.
With funding to utilize 320 volunteers in Champaign, Darke, Logan and
Shelby Counties, RSVP participants provide an invaluable community
service.
