January Curriculum Ideas
Make a vegetable tray/taste variety of other vegetables
Look in magazines for pictures of vegetables.
Take a trip to the library.
Write a letter or post card to someone you know.
Make hot chocolate and vanilla pudding (compare hot and cold items)
Count objects around the house such as socks, plates, cups steps etc.
Play "Simon Says"
Do the Hokey Pokey.
Mark off days on a calendar. Talk about today, tonight, tomorrow,
yesterday.
Find all the clocks in the home.

something that starts with the letter of the week at school.

discussing options.
Continue to provide writing material.
Find white/black items in the home.
Point out square, rectangle,
triangle, star and diamond shapes in the home.
Provide activities that encourage the
understanding of fast/slow,
above/below,
over/under.
