Head Start

Head Start is a comprehensive program serving families with children from birth to five years old. Families are eligible for Head Start when the family income falls within the guidelines established by the federal government. CORSP Head Start is available in the following west central Ohio counties: Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Preble, Shelby and Van Wert. Our Head Start uses the Ultimate Preschool Curriculum^™ for educational support. 

Head Start offers children and families the following services:  

• Early Head Start has home and center based models for pregnant women and children ages 0-3 years  

The Head Start program for 3-5 year old children offers the following models:

• Home based: 4 home visits per month and 2 group socializations per month          
• Combination: children attend center 3 days per week and have 1 home visit per month          
• Center based: children attend center 4 half day sessions per week and have 1 home visit
